Students at Huemon Beauty are placed through a series of trainings to build and strengthen their portfolios. Working on a live model is the final requirement needed for students to graduate our program. Models are needed for Ombre Brows, Lip Blushing and Lip Neutralization.
This is a great opportunity to get your tattooing needs done on a budget! We have worked with dozens of happy models in the past and have complied a list of commonly asked questions for those of interest.
Who is this for?
This opportunity is for any new client, without a pre-existing tattoo in the desired tattoo area, who is seeking a more affordable option to tattooing. Clients who are interested in this service must be okay with having a student perform the majority of the work.
What services can we model for?
Currently, we offer model opportunities for Ombre Brows, Lip Blushing and Lip Neutralization.
Are the students supervised?
Yes – students are always supervised by a seasoned artist at Huemon Beauty. Such artist would guide them through the process and step in as needed!
Are results guaranteed?
Although Huemon Beauty has thousands of successful procedures, we unfortunately cannot guarantee results. Regardless if you’re working with one of our students or a seasoned artist, there are various factors that go into achieving desirable results with tattooing such as your health, lifestyle, following preparational steps/aftercare, the artists technique, pigment selection and more. Some of these factors we have no control over but we do our best to evaluate each client and create a gameplan that allows us to make effective decision around tattooing to help you reach your goals.
Student’s train with us at all different skill levels so its important for interested parties to understand that they are learning a lot of things that may impact the quality of their overall pressure and technique.
Tattooing is designed to be a 2-step process so it’s important to understand that you may not reach your goals only after having one appointment. Depending on a few other factors, you may need a third session to reach your goals.
Are touch ups included?
Touch-ups are not included – they are priced separately. Models have the opportunity to sign up for their touch-ups with a student or one of our seasoned artists at our studio. Touch-up rate will vary depending on who you decide to book with.
Can we chose the student we want to work with?
No. Each student is supervised by a seasoned artist but the skill level of each student will vary.
How much does it cost?
Currently, pricing for models are set at $250 however, pricing is subject to change. Model opportunities are not offered for free.
Do I need to submit a deposit?
Yes, deposits are required to book a time. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable as long as you’ve given us 72 hours notice prior to your session to reschedule. Since it’s imperative for students to work on live models in order to graduate, clients who cancel/request to reschedule same day will forfeit their deposit.
When are models scheduled?
Student models are needed on a monthly/bi-monthly recurring basis and are taken on a first come first serve opportunity.

What if I need to reschedule?
Your deposit will transfer to a new date as long as you’ve provided us with a 72 hour notice. However, model times may not be readily available as they are only needed during training opportunities.
Please keep in mind that due to the inconsistent nature of students schedules, your appointment may be rescheduled if we do not have a student available to work on you. This of course will grant you the opportunity to reschedule to another date without forfeiture of your deposit.
What are the requirements to be a live model?
Interested parties MUST follow our general candidacy requirements as written in our policies( Policies | Huemon Beauty | Montgomery County PMU Studio) and meet the following criteria:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must consent to have your photos taken and shared on social media marketing purposes.
- Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Cannot have any previous PMU in the desired treatment area.
- Must not have any serious health conditions.
- Must be off of skincare ingredients that include Accutane and retina for 1 year, retinol and exfoliants for 30 days, vitamin c for 2 weeks.
- Should have dry/normal skin with little to no sensitivity, or acne breakouts.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be ready to submit the full model rate at the time of being selected.
All models must be evaluated to confirm their candidacy.
